Michael L Fallacaro graduated from Shoreham-Wading River High School, Long Island, N.Y. in 2001. After graduation, he attended
Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY, where he was the winner of two concerto competitions. Following his sophomore year
at Manhattanville, Michael transferred to C.W. Post and was working to complete his bachelor of music in clarinet performance.
He was selected to perform with the 2005 National Wind Ensemble and performed in Carnegie Hall. He also was selected to perform
in the College Band Directors National Association Intercollegiate Honor Band (CBDNA) which performed at Lincoln Center's
Alice Tully Hall in February of 2005. He was the 3rd place winner of the C. W. Post Concerto Competition in 2004 and the
1st place winner in 2005. As a performance major at C.W. Post, Michael was the principal of the Symphonic Band, the Wind
Ensemble and the C.W. Post Orchestra. Michael passed away on February 7, 2006 in an automobile accident. He was 22 years
old. He may be gone from this earth, but he lives forever in his music.
